2015 Ford F-150

The Ford F-150 has been America's single best-selling vehicle since anyone can remember. When somebody says "The Ford F-Series helped build America", they're basically right. Presidents to plumbers have owned them. They're class-less utilitarian tools that can become whatever the owner needs. Have a roofing business? Get a 2015 Ford F-150 XL and throw a ladder rack on it. Got a family, but still need a truck from time to time? Get a 2015 Ford F-150 Lariat SuperCrew. You'll have room for the wife, kids, tools, gear, dog, or whatever you need to transport. Are you the king of your domain, and just like driving a truck? Then check out one of the many luxuriously functional special editions.

The 2015 Ford F-150 King Ranch ($43k) has a classy two-tone or monochrome paint job with unique chrome wheels, heated / cooled seats upholstered in luxurious Chaparral hides, embossed with the King Ranch logo. There's also a floor shifter mounted on a handy center console. And the back seats are heated too.

The 2015 Ford F-150 Platinum ($46k) gets power-folding running boards, navigation, ambient lighting with 7 color choices, power pedals with memory, extra chrome trim, and a special two-tone leather interior.

2015 Ford F-150 - What's New?

Since we're talking about luxury trucks, this is the perfect time to introduce the newest top of the line F-150 trim: The 2015 Ford F-150 Limited

This $52,000 truck has a decidedly athletic appearance, with body colored trim, and massive 22-inch wheels. The inside has a similarly sporty theme, with unique red / black leather trim, and nearly every optional extra comes standard. Including the torque-tastic twin-turbo EcoBoost V6, remote start, heated / cooled seats, heated second row, power-sliding rear window, power side mirrors with memory, a 110v inverter, a sunroof, 4WD with a coilover front suspension, trailer brake controller, and the new HID headlights. For $52k, this truck should cook you breakfast too.

Other 2015 refinements include the availability of HID headlights, which is a big-truck segment first. Another segment first are the new power folding / telescoping side mirrors, which are designed to help you articulate that boat, or trailer. There's some new grill designs, with the popular 2015 Ford F-150 XLT getting a chromed-out grill that resembles the massive chrome faceplate on the SuperDuty.

If you outfit your 2015 Ford F-150 with the MyFord Touch system, you'll get an 8-inch screen, mounted in a revised center stack with built-in USB/AV jacks, and an SD card reader. Trucks without that distraction system also get a redesigned center stack, with a 4-inch screen and some Sync voice-control functionality for various vehicle systems. However, this center stack vaguely resembles an ATM, sitting on top of an old home stereo.

And finally, the rugged-sport themed 2015 Ford F-150 FX4 now comes standard with the Raptor's Hill Descent Control system.

In a Nutshell

Ford knows its truck customers, and has a knack for developing features that they didn't even know they wanted. In the fullsize truck market, the Ford F-150 isn't ahead of the curve, it is the curve. And while the 2015 changes aren't dramatic, those small details can make using your 2015 Ford F-150 even more enjoyable.
