2015 Toyota Sienna
Once the darling of Suburbia, the minivan fell out of style long ago. Replaced by the less practical SUV, which was then replaced by the Crossover. And while the modern CUV has much in common with the minivan, it isn't perceived with the same ire. Most people these days, shudder at the thought of buying a minivan. It somehow screams diaper bags, and soccer camp. Which is unfortunate, and in the case of the 2015 Toyota Sienna, utterly ridiculous.
One of the last remaining bastions of minivan-ism is the 2015 Toyota Sienna. A carefully thought out transportation tool, that can appeal to more than just diaper chucking parents.
To keep the Sienna current, it was completely redesigned for 2011, with most of the concept and design work being done by Toyota's California-based Calty Design Center. They were able to tailor it specifically for the modern American family. For example, they fitted the most-popular 2015 Toyota Sienna LE with dual power-sliding doors, and a power liftgate that you can open with a click of the keyfob. They knew that managing a couple of kids, and that massive pack of toilet paper, would be an all-consuming event. So they made it easier to get everything loaded, and the standard (on the LE) backup camera will help you get out of the Costco parking lot...just in time to get stuck in traffic.
The 2015 Toyota Sienna Limited on the other hand, can appeal to Realtors, or any other professional that needs a luxurious way to transport clients. Designed to be the very definition of a Luxury Minivan, rear seat passengers are treated to their own power-sliding sunroof, a massive LCD screen that can display two video feeds side-by-side, a wood-trimmed cupholding tray that slides out from the center console, and Lounge Seating. Which consists of two supremely comfortable captain's chairs, fitted with their own La-z-boy-esque leg/foot rests. And there's even a power-folding 3rd row seat. So you can make room for all those For Sale signs.
2015 Toyota Sienna - What's New?
For 2015, the 4-cyl engine no longer available. Making the 266-hp 3.5 liter V6 (18/25/21) the standard engine. Toyota likes to remind us that the 2015 Toyota Sienna still offers All-Wheel Drive (16/23/19). Which makes it the only minivan on the market to do so.
Handy if you're ready to replace your AWD Chevy Astro.
The 2015 Toyota Sienna LE now comes standard with three-zone climate control, complete with a cabin air filter, and separate HVAC settings for all three rows. The 2015 Toyota Sienna XLE & 2015 Toyota Sienna Limited now have the Blind Spot Monitor, and a new acoustic windshield, to reduce cabin noise even further. And finally, the dad-approved, sport-themed 2015 Toyota Sienna SE now comes with chrome accented door handles.
Although the minivan may seem old fashioned to some people, it's still very relevant in the market. In fact, an average of 9,600 people bought a new Sienna each month in 2015. So there's no reason that you shouldn't consider the 2015 Toyota Sienna. You certainly won't be alone.
